My love of photography started in junior year of high school when I took a photography class. At the time of this basic introductory course digital photography was in its infancy so we completed all of our projects with black and white film and darkroom chemical processing; I loved everything about it. At this point I knew that I was going to be a photographer! I went on to earn a BFA, concentrating in photography, from Kutztown University of Pennsylvania. In 2010 I relocated to the Hudson Valley and spent much of my time taking photos of the beautiful region.

 

The one thing I love about photography is freezing a fleeting moment in time, knowing that this moment has come and gone but in a fraction of a second it’s recorded forever. The people or places in the photo will never be the same as they were in that one moment. This photograph is one of my favorites and truly shows the freezing of a busy moment in NYC.
